Exercise #1 - Sudanese restaurant

Exercise #1: A client is opening up a new Sudanese Restaurant in Wagga Wagga. You have been tasked with the job of naming the restaurant and designing their logo which will appear on the shopfront. The owner doesn't speak english and is relying on you to come up with an appropriate solution without her input.

 List all of the questions you would like to ask the client on your blog

·         What would you like to name your resaurant?

·         What region of Sudan will your food represent?

·         What is the dominant language in this region?

·         What local words are assciated with food and restaurants?

·         What would be your signature dish?

·         What colours do Sudanese people like?

·         Are there any colours or symbols that could offend?

·         What are the main ingredients in Sudanese cuisine?

·         Who are your target customers?

·         Is the food traditional or modern?

·         What is your family name?

·         What is the name of the home town of your family?

·         What is the word for cook or chef in your language?

Create a name for the business

·         Mat'am a Sudane (Sudanese Restaurant in Arabic)

·         <name>'s Sudanese Cuisine

·         Tastes of Khartoum

I haven't finished the logo yet will post when it is done. I am designing the logo around the Hibiscus flower which is used to make tea and is popular in Sudanese culture.
